Add Daymark through Lock Screen customization

Use an iPhone running iOS 18 or later with Daymark opened and a saved countdown. Unlock the phone before customizing its Lock Screen.

  1. Touch and hold the Lock Screen, then choose Customize.
  2. Choose Lock Screen rather than Home Screen.
  3. Tap Add Widgets or the existing widget area.
  4. Find Daymark and choose a supported widget shape.
  5. Remove another widget if the area has no room, then add Daymark.
  6. Tap Done and inspect the countdown on the locked screen.

Keep private titles out of shared view

A widget can be visible to someone looking at the locked phone. A short neutral title may suit a personal appointment better than a detailed one. Lock Screen widgets and final-24-hour Live Activities are separate features.

Check the widget against the saved date

Check the date in the app if the display seems wrong. Removing a widget does not delete its countdown. A device without Dynamic Island can still have a different supported Lock Screen view, so do not use one feature's absence to diagnose the other.

If the Lock Screen has no space

The widget area is limited. A large existing widget can prevent another from fitting. Try a supported smaller shape. If Daymark is absent entirely, use the missing-widget checks. Removing a Lock Screen widget does not delete the saved mark.
