Save a reminder with a useful lead time
Start with the correct event date. Daymark reminders are preparation prompts, not a guaranteed alarm. Notification permission and system settings still apply.
- Open the mark and tap the pencil to edit it.
- Check Target date and any target time or Time zone.
- Open Reminders and choose an available lead-time preset.
- For a custom reminder, set Days before and Hours before to match the task.
- Tap Save and allow notifications through iOS if asked.
- Review Daymark's Quiet hours and the iPhone's notification settings.
Preparation needs a useful lead time
A birthday reminder on the day may be too late to order a gift. A trip reminder can prompt a packing check before departure. Keep the task beside the countdown so the notification has a clear action behind it.
Check notification delivery settings
Focus, notification settings and a powered-off device can affect delivery. Daymark is not a guaranteed alarm or safety system. For anything that cannot be missed, use an appropriate alarm or official reminder as well as your personal countdown.
Pick the lead time from the action
Ordering a gift needs more notice than checking an address. Put the action in the planning pack. A custom reminder several days before the event can prompt that work. Quiet hours can defer the notification until their resume time.
