Set the place before comparing clock times
Use the event organizer's confirmed local time. Choose a location-based zone instead of guessing from an abbreviation or your current phone location.
- Open the countdown's editor and expand Optional timing and place.
- Enable Include a target time for an exact booking.
- Enter the booking's local date and time.
- Open Time zone and choose the zone for the event's place.
- Save and inspect the full event details.
- When traveling, compare that saved event moment with the provider's schedule.
Do not convert the same time twice
If you enter a ticket's local airport time and select the airport's zone, the app has the context needed. Converting that time to your home zone first, then still selecting the airport's zone, describes a different moment.
Review the countdown after a schedule change
Daylight-saving changes can make elapsed hours differ from calendar days. Use date-only for an occasion where the clock is irrelevant. For a booking, confirm the provider's current schedule and review the countdown when the departure date or location changes.
A departure abroad while your phone is at home
A ticket for 9.00 in Lisbon should use the departure's local time and Lisbon's zone. Do not first convert to your home clock and still select Lisbon. That describes a different moment. The local clock you see while traveling can change without changing the booking.
