Check the companion before adding a complication

Use the paired iPhone with Daymark installed and Apple Watch running watchOS 11 or later. The companion receives a countdown snapshot, not the complete planning editor.

  1. Create and save a countdown on the paired iPhone.
  2. In the iPhone Watch app, check whether Daymark is installed on your Watch. Install the companion if available there.
  3. Keep the devices nearby with their connection available.
  4. Open Daymark on iPhone, then open Daymark on the Watch.
  5. Compare the event title and target before comparing the number.
  6. Use a compatible watch-face complication only after the Watch app shows the right event.

If the Watch countdown still differs

If the Watch still differs, record the app version, device versions and both displayed values. Do not delete the iPhone countdown to test synchronization. Use the support route with cropped screenshots if the connection checks do not explain the difference.

Why the Watch does not show the background photo

Daymark sends the Watch a lightweight snapshot without the countdown's background photo. This is not a failed photo sync. Check the image on iPhone or iPad. Compare the Watch app and complication separately if only the face looks stale.
