Add the widget through iPhone's Home Screen editor

Save at least one countdown in Daymark first. Use an iPhone running iOS 18 or later. These are iPhone controls, not a widget menu inside the app. Their appearance can vary by iOS version.

  1. Touch and hold an empty part of the Home Screen until the apps enter editing mode.
  2. Open the edit controls and choose Add Widget. Older versions may show a plus button.
  3. Search for Daymark and swipe through its available widget sizes.
  4. Tap Add Widget, position it, and finish editing the Home Screen.
  5. For a configurable Daymark widget, touch and hold it, choose Edit Widget, and select the intended countdown.
  6. Compare the title and target with the saved countdown in Daymark.

Choose the widget for the date you check most

A small widget uses less room. A larger photo widget gives the image, title and count more space. Select a named countdown when you want one date pinned; a next-event view may change as your nearest event changes. Check the actual widget configuration rather than assuming every size offers the same choices.

If the widget shows the wrong countdown

Check its configuration before changing the date in the app. Reopen Daymark and return to the Home Screen. If the widget is absent, confirm the app has been opened and that you are using the Home Screen picker, not the Lock Screen or StandBy picker. Removing a widget does not delete the countdown.
