Divides the calendar-day difference by seven. Reports whole weeks and remaining days, not a rounded week count. End must not precede start.
Dates stay in this page. No account, uploads or server calculation.
How this calculation works
The tool divides the calendar-day difference by seven and keeps the remaining days. It excludes the start date and requires the end to be on or after the start. Seventeen days are two full weeks and three days.
A worked example
October 1 to December 25, 2026 has 85 days. Dividing 85 by seven gives 12 full weeks with one day remaining. A 17-day span gives two full weeks and three days. A six-day span gives zero whole weeks and six days.
Whole weeks are not rounded weeks
Seven calendar-day transitions make one whole week. Any remainder stays visible.
| Calendar-day span | Result |
|---|---|
| 6 days | 0 whole weeks and 6 days. |
| 7 days | 1 whole week and 0 days. |
| 17 days | 2 whole weeks and 3 days. |
| 85 days | 12 whole weeks and 1 day. |
