Counts Saturdays and Sundays after the start date, including the end date. It counts weekend dates, not complete weekends or available free time.

How this calculation works
The tool counts Saturdays and Sundays after the start date and through the end date. It counts individual weekend dates, so Saturday alone is one day. It does not check whether you have those days free.
A worked example
October 1 through October 5, 2026, with the start excluded, contains October 3 and October 4 as weekend dates. The result is two. A Friday-to-Saturday interval gives one weekend date. It does not represent a whole weekend away.
Weekend dates are not complete weekends
A Saturday counts even if the interval includes no Sunday. Your personal work pattern does not change this arithmetic.
| Interval in October 2026 | Saturday-and-Sunday dates |
|---|---|
| Friday 2 to Saturday 3 | 1 weekend date. |
| Friday 2 to Sunday 4 | 2 weekend dates. |
| Saturday 3 to Sunday 4 | 1. Saturday is the excluded start. |
| Sunday 4 to Sunday 4 | 0. No transition is counted. |
