Set the countdown date
Set the start to your departure day and the end to your return day. A Friday-to-Sunday trip covers three calendar dates but only two nights. Choose the count that matches the question you are answering rather than treating them as interchangeable.
Preparation checklist
Choose the tasks you need and add anything specific to your plans.
- Confirm the accommodation check-in and checkout instructions.
- Choose the transport plan for both departure and return.
- Pack for the booked activities rather than a hypothetical longer trip.
- Check whether you need a charger, adapter or overnight bag.
- Save the arrival address and a useful contact link.
- Leave enough time for any task that cannot be finished while traveling.
Check your stay before setting off
Review check-in details before you set off. If departure shifts by a day, update the start and end together. Daymark's planning list can stay beside the countdown, while the trip-duration tool makes the difference between dates and nights explicit.
Make a two-night plan without three lists
Create one countdown for departure and enable This event has an end date for the return. Open Add planning pack. Put physical items in Packing, actions in Checklist, and the accommodation link in Reservations & links. Keep the list short enough to review before leaving.
A Friday departure and Sunday return
This trip touches three calendar dates and spans two nights. It does not automatically mean 72 hours away. Use the trip calculator for dates and nights. Enter exact start and end times when a booked departure or return needs its own clock time.
Plan your weekend countdown
Put your next getaway on your Home Screen. Keep the overnight packing list and accommodation details with it.
