How this calculation works
The tool counts Monday through Friday after the start date and through the end date. It excludes Saturdays and Sundays. Public holidays, leave, and your work schedule stay outside this calculation.
A worked example
From Thursday, October 1 to Monday, October 5, 2026, the counted dates are Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Two are weekdays. From a date to itself, no date transition is counted. Public holidays on a Monday or Friday remain included.
Check exactly which weekdays are included
The start is excluded and the end included. Saturday and Sunday are the only excluded weekly days.
| Interval in October 2026 | Monday-to-Friday dates |
|---|---|
| Thursday 1 to Friday 2 | 1. Friday is included. |
| Friday 2 to Monday 5 | 1. Only Monday is counted. |
| Monday 5 to Monday 5 | 0. The start date is excluded. |
| Monday 5 to Monday 12 | 5. A public holiday would still count. |
