Worked example. Change the dates to calculate your own.
February 28, 2026
- Starting date
- January 31, 2026
- Calendar days moved
- 28
Moves by calendar months, not 30-day blocks. If the original day does not exist in the destination month, uses that month's last day.
Dates stay in this page. No account, uploads or server calculation.
How this calculation works
The tool moves by whole calendar months. If the original day is missing from the destination month, it uses that month's last day. January 31 plus one month becomes February 28 or 29. Supported dates use years 1000 through 9999.
A worked example
January 31, 2026 plus one month becomes February 28. January 31, 2028 plus one month becomes February 29. Adding two months directly to January 31 gives March 31. Adding one month to the clamped February 28 result gives March 28.
Direct offsets and chained offsets can differ
The tool keeps the original day when it exists. Otherwise it clamps to the destination month's final day.
