How this calculation works
The tool finds the next matching weekday strictly after the reference date. It skips a matching weekday on that date. The result is one to seven calendar days later.
A worked example
From Thursday, October 1, 2026, the next Friday is October 2, one day later. From Friday, October 2, the next Friday is October 9, seven days later. The result includes the actual date so you can confirm it directly.
Define next as strictly after the reference
When the reference already matches, the tool returns the same weekday in the following week.
