How this calculation works

The tool compares the days passed since the start with the full date interval. Its progress display stays between zero and 100 percent. The reference date can be before the start or after the target.

A worked example

October 1 to December 25, 2026 spans 85 days. By November 1, 31 days have passed. The calculation is 31 divided by 85, multiplied by 100, or 36.5 percent when rounded to one decimal place. Before the start, the bar stays at zero.
