Set the countdown date

Distinguish a planned launch from an approved release window. Enter the agreed date, time and time zone only after the responsible owner confirms them. A build finishing, a draft being ready and a product being live are different completion conditions.

Preparation checklist

Choose the tasks you need and add anything specific to your plans.

  • Write the release condition that must be true before launch.
  • Name an owner for each outstanding acceptance check.
  • Confirm which system performs the final publishing action.
  • Review customer-facing links and purchase flows before release.
  • Prepare a fallback plan for a delayed or failed launch.
  • Define the provider evidence that confirms the product is live.

Check readiness before launch

Review readiness before starting the final countdown. If acceptance remains incomplete, change the plan instead of letting the date imply completion. Daymark can keep your personal release checklist together, but it cannot publish the product or verify the release for you.

Use a readiness list before the public countdown

Add acceptance checks to the planning pack with a clear next action. Use Anticipation progress if you want to show the wait from an earlier date. A filled progress bar measures time, not completion of release checks. Review the unchecked work separately.

When the launch date changes

Confirm the actual launch in your publishing system. Update the countdown and reminders if the release window moves. Shared countdown cards keep their original count. Daymark keeps the plan but does not publish the release.

Create a launch countdown

Add the planned launch time and your remaining release checks. Update the countdown when the release schedule changes.
