Set the countdown date
Use the date agreed with the group. If people travel from different places, distinguish the main meeting from individual arrival times. A card is a snapshot of the countdown, not a live schedule or a replacement for telling people when plans change.
Preparation checklist
Choose the tasks you need and add anything specific to your plans.
- Confirm the meeting date before asking people to book travel.
- Choose a venue that fits the expected group size.
- Agree how people will confirm attendance.
- Save booking and contact links in your own planning notes.
- Explain the meeting point and arrival instructions clearly.
- Check whether the venue needs a final headcount.
Send final details to the group
Send the final time and venue directly to the group. If the date changes, update the countdown and send a new message. Do not expect an old shared image to update itself. Review the headcount before any booking that depends on the number attending.
Share the anticipation, not an editable group plan
Open the countdown's share action and inspect the card preview. The recipient gets an image. It does not create a jointly editable countdown or attendance list. Keep headcounts and final venue details in your agreed group channel.
A changed venue needs a new message
Edit the countdown after confirming the new plan. Send the group the new venue and time directly. An old share card keeps its old pixels. Use a new card if you want to share the updated countdown, but check delivery in the app you send it through.
Create a reunion countdown
Keep your reunion plans with the date and send friends a photo countdown card. Your private notes stay out of the card.
