Use StandBy's widget screen and add Daymark to a stack. Select a countdown that makes sense in a shared room. A short title stays easier to read from farther away than a detailed event description.

Use a charging stand for the longer wait

StandBy appears when your iPhone is charging, horizontal and stationary with the mode enabled. Add Daymark to its widget stack. A birthday or departure then has a place on the desk without leaving the full app open.

The phone controls display behavior

Always-On support and StandBy settings affect whether the screen stays lit. Widget stacks can rotate. A dark display does not establish a lost countdown. Daymark requires iOS 18 or later and includes its widget features in the free allowance.
