A date that has happened
Keep a past trip, graduation or other milestone as a memory. A past date answers how long it has been, rather than how long is left. Give the memory a title that still makes sense when you return months later.
Keep the original day
Keep a completed trip or wedding in Past with its original date and photo. Move to Past archives the countdown. Delete removes it. Export before deleting anything you want to keep.
Keep the memory and the next celebration
Keep the wedding as a memory and the next anniversary as a yearly countdown. A recurring countdown can archive an occurrence while keeping the next date in Marks. Check both views after archiving.
Review what you keep
Use archive and data controls deliberately. Before deleting a mark, decide whether you want its photo or planning notes later. Private iCloud sync can propagate changes across your devices. Review the export guide before removing content you intend to keep.
